Dr. Motykie earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois and his medical degree from Northwestern University in Chicago. After a fellowship in advanced surgical research, he completed an accelerated plastic surgery training program at the University of Texas, where he trained at a leading cancer and burn reconstruction center.

He has appeared on Dr. 90210 and Inside Edition, and has authored numerous scientific papers.
