My name is Raul, I am a researcher, explorer, and the creator of Pillars of the Past. Join me as I travel to newly discovered and forgotten ancient sites, on a quest to document, investigate, and ultimately help preserve their legacy. This channel aims to put you in the front seat of pure adventure, to rekindle the romance of these awe-inspiring locations by delving into their past, uncovering their history and analyzing their place in it. Well known sites will be covered with fresh eyes and an open mind, while journeys to others that have been lost or forgotten will often present the only modern media that exists of them.

Pillars of the Past aims to present things as they are by providing practical insight and thoughtful analysis that may span both academic and alternative pedagogies, including research and interviews with specialists in their respective fields.
