Gambling Care Ireland

Gambling Awareness Trust was established in 2019 to fund gambling addiction counselling, prevention, education, research and awareness services in Ireland. They offer support to individuals experiencing harmful gambling, AND also to their families, referred to as Affected Others. GAT also encourages health professionals, government agencies, businesses and other charitable organisations to refer their clients, employees or patience to the robust support on offer through their organisation.

The frontline support services and educational programmes funded by Gambling Awareness Trust include a National Helpline which is open from 9am to 11pm every day of the year, counseling by phone, online and in person, residential treatment programmes, and continuing professional educational programmes for counsellors, therapists and mental health professionals.
