Deb's Artsy Life

Welcome! I am Deborah ("Deb"), and I live in the southwest corner of Virginia in the United States. Deb's Artsy Life is all about my mixed media art, crocheting, slow stitching, yarn, art supplies, knitting, bookmaking, journaling, watercolor, etc. I love making things with my hands.

The most important element in my work is COLOR - I love bright, bold color! I am drawn to cozy, colorful interiors. Common themes and motifs in my art are flowers, teacups, teapots, books, and coffee mugs. I also like abstract painting and playing with shapes and colors. My favorite art medium is watercolor, but I usually mix it with other media. My art is "happy art" - colorful and joyful.

I love to crochet bags, baskets, and blankets. My favorite motif is the beloved granny square - you can do so much with it!

I am new at knitting and just in the learning stage. My favorite yarn craft is crochet!
